UVB is vital for reptiles to synthesize vitamin D3, which in turn ensures proper calcium absorption, supporting their overall health and well-being.
It’s crucial for minimizing the risk of health complications, such as Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD), in all reptile species.
The light output is significantly higher compared to standard T8 and other T5 tubes, providing enhanced reach and coverage.
In addition to UVB, the tube also emits UVA rays, which play a key role in stimulating naturalistic behaviours, appetite, digestion, and breeding in reptiles.
As UVB output diminishes over time, it is important to ensure the tube is replaced every 12 months to maintain optimal performance.
